The beauty of working rotating 12 hour shifts where I currently work–Toyo Tires North America–is that I only work 14 days out of the month. So for the next seven days, I only work two. Niiice.
The downside is that every two weeks, I switch to the midnight shift for two weeks–7pm to 7am–then it’s back to days. The worst part so far has been my feet and legs hurting badly by the end of the day. My job requires me to constanly be on my feet and the floor is cement, so there’s no give like carpet or normal flooring that would have some padding underneath. Plus, I have to wear steel-toe boots, so it’s like walking around with 5 pound weights on my feet all day. ugh. *begins singing a happy tune, then just stops immediately and cries a single tear*
